2011 Indonesia Bilateral Planning Workshop: Societal Disaster Planning, Response and Recovery Four days Comprehensive Workshop Focused on Pandemic Influenza

The US Pacific Command (US Pacom), the Center for Excellence in Disaster Management and Humanitarian Assistance (COE), USAID, Indonesia MoH and TNI as a co Host will conduct  a Disaster Management/Military Preparedness Workshop focused on Pandemic Influenza Phase 6 protocols and the process of integrating national pandemic plans with provincial and local disaster plans. Workshop.   The event is designed to accommodate 110-120 peoples.

The objective of this workshop are to improve and enhance military and civilian capacities which provide effective support to the local populations and lead government agencies, should a pandemic or other national large scale disaster occur.     Specific materials related to preparing for and preventing diseases within infected areas of province will be part of the curriculum.     The workshop will also provide a forum for processes and procedures.   There will be guest subject matter expert speakers from pertinent agencies who will present local issues and concerns.
